Now that the Chouet Landfill is closed on Guernsey the number of sightings from there have dropped off with Perelle being more popular as a roost site. It is nice when we get a sighting from there it shows Chouet to be still of some interest to the Gulls.

A new observer to us but not to Wayne Turner who asked Andy Stoaling to forward his sighting to us for our records, GBBGull P:73C was at Chouet on the 14th February.

GBBGull P:62A is a regular visitor to the Devon Axe Estuary alternating with sightings to the North in the Chard area of Somerset and over in Dorset.

Seen on the 11th February by Donna Spencer this time it was on the Seaton Wetland Reserve which is seperated from the Estuary by the Heritage Tramway. The seasonal guided Bird watching trips by Tram give an excellent view over the Estuary and Wet Lands.

Two more of last years fledglings have been sighted for the first time since they were ringed last June.

GBBGull P:80F sighted 3rd February at Le Sillon, La Turballe, Loir Atlantic, France by Marc Lacroix.

GBBGull P:17H sighted 4th February at Ver sur Mer, Calvados, France by Bruno Dumeige.

It is reassuring to see some Gulls have avoided AI.
