The last two weeks of August gave us an increase in sightings of our Gulls.

Ian McLean sent in 31 Great Black Gull sightings including P:27A making its first recorded visit to the Axe Estuary this year. Also Herring Gull 476 (ringed in Seaton Devon) seen on two occasions.

Dave Dawe also sent in four Great Black Back Gull sightings from the Axe Estuary.

We are happy to receive multiple sightings from the same day and the same site, nothing is refused all is welcome.

Mike John Morse sighted Herring Gull 590 at West Bexington Dorset.

Steve came across a dead Herring Gull at Ferry Bridge Weymouth / Portland ringed on Skokholm July 2009 found May 2017. Not a rare movement from Skokholm but not a common one.

Herring Gull 453 ringed in Weymouth was back at Lower Compton landfill near to Bristol on the 16th & 23rd August sighting sent in by Nick Adams. Nick is a regular sight at Lower Compton checking the Gulls for colour rings.
